BREAK-IN NOTICES

Sept 22 -- A power generator was stolen from the side of a home (#45).  Be sure and secure all items and notify the police and Island Manager of suspicious activities. 

Aug 30 -- A large external freezer and small refrigerator were vandalized on Tuesday.  All the
food was stolen.  Thankfully, nothing else was taken from the property (#95).
 
Aug 24 -- Wednesday evening a car window was broken out.  The car was parked at a home
on the Northwest side of the Island off Raft Island Drive (#74).  Please remember
to keep valuables out of your car and maintain good lighting around your home. 
If you have any information, please report it to the Island Manager at 265-1818.

Aug 24 -- ON THE SAME NIGHT, a passenger-side car window was broken out, and a
briefcase and wallet were stolen (#109).  It happened about 3am on Wednesday night. 
A police report was filed.  The thief was scared away but left the blanket pictured below;
presumably used to protect the thief's arm during the break-in.  The empty briefcase was
recovered - the wallet was not.  If anyone recognizes the BLANKET LEFT AT THE SCENE,
(pictured below) or has more information, report it to the Island Manager at 265-1818
immediately. 

Please spread the word, keep cars locked, keep your eyes open, look out for your neighbors
and friends, keep your yard/parking area well-lit and report anything suspicious to the
Island Manager.  Thank you


To ensure safety for the general and boating public, jumping off the Raft Island Bridge
is prohibited.

A Raft Island Security Committee manages all security and safety considerations for
the Island.  In case of an emergency, call 911.
